Our instructors Nos coachs Our instructors. Ombeline Rossier Principal (super) Instructor Dr. Ombeline ROSSIER. She is an associate professor at the University Paris-Saclay where she teaches biochemistry, microbiology and, of course, synthetic biology. When she teaches, she loves to set students in an authentic situation and what could be more authentic than working together on a project that you design from scratch! She loves to see the energy and the intrinsic motivation of the team members, from 1st year Bachelor students to Master students. The process is often quite messier than she would like, but what emerges from the blend of experiences and disciplines is often a very pleasant surprise. All teaching should be done this way! Philippe Bouloc Principal Instructor He runs a laboratory at the Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell (I2BC) on the campus of the University of Paris-Saclay. They study bacterial regulations with a focus on regulatory RNAs. For many years, he has had the pleasure of advising students to set up new iGEM projects, a fantastic way for them to learn biology and more. Stéphanie Bury-Moné Principal Instructor Pr. Stéphanie BURY-MONE. She is co-supervisor of Master 2 in Microbiology on the campus of the University of Paris-Saclay, who is passionate about the dynamics of the microbial genomes that she studies at the institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell (I2BC). Like Philippe and Ombeline, for many years, she has had the pleasure of supervising the iGEMers. All the best! Téo Hébra Instructor Téo HEBRA, PhD student and coach of iGEM GO Paris-Saclay 2020 and 2021 teams! He is currently exploring specialized metabolism of microorganisms with mass spectrometry approaches. He used to be an iGEMer back in the days, and chose to come back as a coach to help, share and experiment iGEM competition in a different position and stay in touch with the SynBio! Charlène Valadon Instructor Charlène Valadon is a coach of iGEM GO Paris-Saclay 2021. She is a PhD student currently working on the role of RNA modifications in translation fidelity in eukaryotes. She is a former team member of iGEM GO Paris-Saclay 2016. She loves extreme sports, pizza and sushi. Emma Piattelli Instructor Emma is a PhD student and a coach for iGEM GO Paris-Saclay 2021. She studies the role of non-coding RNAs in pathogenesis in Clostridium difficile! She loves photography and she comes from Italy!
