QUICK
Questionnaires Used In Clear Knowledge
In the preliminary period, team members in SMS_shenzhen had received a lot of questionnaires from other iGEM teams. However, we observed that there were a lot of problems in those questionnaires, both online and offline. SMS_Shenzhen, therefore, decided to offer help to other iGEM teams with their questionnaires.
Here are some pictures and links of the teams we have helped.
1. We answered a questionnaire from SZU-China; then, we contacted them to provide some suggestions about the questionnaire.

When we spoke with other iGEM teams in Shenzhen, we were surprised to find that team Yucai_SZ had developed a program to share scientific knowledge with young people, especially about synthetic biology. We immediately booked the event, discussed the details, and decided to make a series of broadcasts focusing on the development of synthetic biology.
We first determined a suitable draft which was devised by us lately, and in the next few days we began to organize the broadcast production program by division of labor: each team looked for enthusiastic team members to participate in the program, helped them revise the draft to get the final recording draft, prepared the radio equipment and so on.
Eventually, we edited the clip into a full show and posted it on our social media, where we got a lot of comments from viewers.
GreatBay_SCIE
In the project of GreatBay_SCIE, they formulated an idea to present their aptamer 's shape. They have already accessed a 2D diagram, but this 2D simulation is much different from the simulation they run using Mfold and several other online tools. Therefore, we provided a method to use Discovery Studio to run their simulation. With our technical help, they were able to run and calculate certain statistics on our own.
In return, since we cannot get access to obj documents of our protein, GreatBay_SCIE assisted our visualization by giving us some advice on using Blender to convert .pdb document into .obj document that can be used to further visualize our protein.
GreatBay_United
This year, SMS_Shenzhen and GreatBay_United both studied a research project on proteins. In the stage of confirming the expression of proteins, SDS-PAGE is a necessary experiment. As we had conducted SDS-PAGE experiments for some time, GreatBay_United team members wanted to ask for some suggestions and cautions. From the communication, we both derived better understanding of SDS-PAGE. We, SMS_Shenzhen team, were able to carry out SDS-PAGE more skillfully by summarizing the attention points. GreatBay_United learned how to do the SDS-PAGE experiment. Greatbay_United offered us a SDS-PAGE gel quick dyeing solution as gift. With the help of the quick dyeing solution, we could dye the gel in 15 minutes, which saved considerable time.
