USTC-iGEM-model

&

A good alliance is conducive to the long-term development of both sides. In this year, we have been maintaining close contact with USTC software. We have a profound relationship. Our cooperation with USTC software ran through the whole process. We have held two joint group meetings face to face and many online detailed discussions. The group meetings mainly include:

     1. Exchange experience in organization reform, member recruitment and team management. We help them better understand the team building of iGEM and draw up the recruitment plan for the next member.
     2. Introduction of each project and mutual suggestions. Their project is about protein structure prediction. We shared and discussed the tau protein structure, the feasibility and prospect of our subject.
     3. Our members knew each other and promoted our relationship.
     4. We discussed the association of life encoding, which is committed to transmitting iGEM and synthetic biology to more students.

Scientific progress is inseparable from team cooperation. The cooperation and exchange between teams can not only promote the technical development of both sides, but also open an essential bridge for science. In this year's iGEM competition, we found AHUT for in-depth cooperation. We held three online group meetings, introduced our projects and discussed the possibility of future cooperation.

Cooperation About Projects

We introduced biology knowledge to USTC software members to help them better understand biology and help them carry out the project. At the same time, they trained our team members in computer skills, which facilitated the construction of our Wiki and helped us with some software optimization, as shown in the picture

We tested their software and gave them feedback. When their project entered the testing phase, our team members found large quantities of information of proteins for them to detect the accuracy of their system (Tab1). At the same time, we provided many user feedback to help them optimize the user experience and develop new detection standards.

     3. When we had trouble in creating software, their team members helped us optimize our software windows, design the graphical interface of the software (Fig3), and come up with some ideas to solve problems in our design process.

Event

Life encoding Association is a community jointly managed by USTC and USTC software. This year, we also launched iGEM publicity activities in Hefei Science and Technology Museum. We conducted experimental teaching, while they conducted computer research and publicity in synthetic biology. We both contribute to the field of synthetic biology.
