We use and construct parts that are considered an important part of our project, and most of them have been tested to ensure their reliability.
To efficiently obtain these parts, we asked Tsingke Biotechnology to synthesize some of them. Besides, we also used colony PCR to get several parts from the original bacteria strain directly.

Basic Parts
Among the basic parts designed this year by ourselves, BBa_K3763000 and BBa_K3763021 are our favorite. BBa_K3763000 is an RBS improved based on BBa_B0030, which improves the performance of the engineered bacteria in sensing fatty acid. BBa_K3763021 is a bacteriocin that specifically targets Propionibacterium bacteria, including Propionibacterium acnes.

Composite Parts
We have designed a series of composite parts this year and all of them have been tested. BBa_K3763044 and BBa_K3763045 are for the consumption of fatty acid. BBa_K3763001, BBa_K3763002, and BBa_K3763003 are for sensing the fatty acid. BBa_K3763023 and BBa_K3763024 are for the inhibition of the growth of Propionibacterium acnes.
