    • Search data and proposing the initial idea of introducing the SOD1 gene to transform yeast with antioxidant function.
    • Design transformation details, plasmids construction, and insertion fragments for inducting target genes to yeast.
    • Design primers and prepare materials for sequencing plasmids we constructed.
  • Lab Works
    • PCR amplification, Gibson assembly, DNA gel running, DNA gel purification, heat shock E. coli transformation, miniprep to extract plasmid, yeast transformation, Colony picking, yeast colony PCR, measure the yeast growth curve of genomic edited yeast and wild type yeast in two different media, western blot, protein purification, DPPH, pyrogallol and other function assays for SOD1 GM yeast.

    • Calculate data and draw the trend line of SOD1 function assay, label and collate the results of PCR and western blot.

    • Mainly responsible for transforming SOD1, CHIT42, PNP1 genes, and pFA6a-3HA-KanMX plasmid into DH5alpha cells using some techniques like .generation of competent cells, PCR, gel electrophoresis, gel purification, miniprep, Gibson assembly, transformation, and so on to prepare for gene sequencing and function assay.
