It is expected that the abuse of antibiotics will lead to more deaths from superbugs in the next few decades.
However, phage therapy has been developed and become a new weapon of targeted anti-bacterial infection.
Our project, Phage-MAP, establishes an interaction map between phage and bacteria to find specific phage or phage combinations for treatment.
With the help of Phage-MAP, doctors can quickly get the corresponding phage to help the patient infected with superbug, bring the hope of life for the patient!
Furthermore, the network of phages and bacteria in Phage-MAP will also facilitate the development of phages as model organisms in synthetic biology.
