Choosing Salmonella as our chassis comes with inherent safety considerations that must be met to ensure the wellbeing of lab members. Even though our strain is attenuated through deletion of genes in its pathogenicity island and type III secretion system virulence factors, additional measures must be taken when working with our specific chassis. Below are all relevant forms pertaining to safety implemented in the wet-lab.
