SnapGene provides an easy and secure way to plan, visualize, and document everyday molecular biology procedures. It was born out of frustration based on avoidable mistakes in cloning procedures. There is a language that 95% of people understand. It’s called plain language, and it corresponds to the B1 language level. But what can it do for science and research? Plain language speeds up reading times and improves comprehension, leading to greater trust in scientific results – particularly among non-academics. As Plain Language Europe’s official representative in Germany, Supertext transforms existing texts into plain language and offers a comprehensive training and e-learning program. We want to thank them for translating our wiki and project description into plain language to help us making iGEM projects more inclusive as well.
