Our project is centered around eliminating pathogenic genes and their byproducts by making a new CRISPR technology (INTEGRATE) phage-deliverable and self propagable to create a gene elimination system. Our initial system uses M13 bacteriophage to target E. coli, then propogates through the population using bacterial conjugation. To achieve our goal, we have spent the past few months designing our mechanisms, conducting experiments, and creating mathematical models to ensure our technology is effective.
