KTH

Just as in previous years, KTH Royal Institute of Technology served as the main sponsor of iGEM Stockholm 2021. KTH is Sweden's largest technical research and learning institution and prides itself on being a key centre of intellectual talent and innovation. We received funding from the School of Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Health (CBH). Besides financial support, KTH provided us with lab space, equipment and materials for our experimental work for the duration of the project and supported us with advice and expertise (1).

Opportunities Fund

The KTH Opportunities fund is supported by alumni and friends of KTH and aims to assist KTH students in pursuing projects, internships and research related to innovation, sustainability, equality and interdisciplinary collaborations (2).

The Karolinska Institute

The Karolinska Institute was the second major sponsor of iGEM Stockholm 2021. The Karolinska Institute was founded in 1810 and is one of the world's leading medical universities (3). While supporting us financially in the form of different grants, we were also provided lab space as well general guidance and advice.

Integrated DNA Technologies is a leading manufacturer of custom oligonucleotides for molecular applications. IDT has supported iGEM for several years now, and provided us with easy access to their products and educational tools and services (4).

Eppendorf supplies laboratories worldwide with machinery and lab consumables. Eppendorf has also supported iGEM team for several years now, including iGEM Stockholm 2021, contributing not only with consumables but also with equipment without which we would not have been able to conduct our research (5).
