The Nanjing Tech University iGEM team was responsible for almost all aspects of running the team, from including purchasing supplies, coming up with the project concept, writing protocols, and executing the lab work. We would like to thank all our advisors who have assisted us throughout the project. Yiping Cao
Constructed the target strain (S. cerevisiae BY4741-pRS426-Petunia, S. cerevisiae BY4741-pRS426-Vanda, S. cerevisiae BY4741-pRS426-Rosa) producing 2-PE; Performed fermentation experiment (S. cerevisiae BY4741-pRS426-Petunia) and tested 2-PE concentration by HPLC; Provided material for presentation and communication.

Chenyu Wang
Introduced the plasmids into S. cerevisiae BY4741 and verified; Used the transforming strain to produce 2-PE and measured the yield of 2-PE.

Jikun Wang
Built the growth model to describe the growth of yeast, the production of phenylethanol, and the consumption of substrates; Established the expansion model to describe the growth and expansion of yeast in the natural environment.

Qingying Liu
Characterized of aeblue protein; Participate in Hp activities, read literature and answer questions from other universities; Provided wiki material of the bronze prize.

Dongjing Wang
Characterized of aeblue protein; Participate in Hp activities, read literature and answer questions from other universities; Provided wiki material of the bronze prize.

Zihan Teng
Wrote the script of yeast animation; In educational institutions, lectures were given to middle and high school students and 60 questionnaires were distributed offline; Wrote part of the hp material and participated in the dance shooting.

YuXuan Tang
Responsible for human practices group work and science communication; Communicated with companies and other iGEM teams; Provided material for presentation and communication; Responsible for promotion video; Designed questionnaire; Drew pictures for promotion video, poster, wiki; Design a set of internet meme; Responsible for wiki design.

YiFan Jiang
Editing promotion video.

Yuanzhang Li
Understand the structure of the web page; be familiar with the code; and determine the upload server method.

Jiaying Hu
Responsible for financial affairs; Transformed plasmids into DH5α E.coli; Transformed plasmids into S.cerevisiae BY4741; Fermented the yeast with the plasmid pRS426-Vanda in shaking flask and measured the yield of 2- Phenylethanol through HPLC; Constructed a yeast-microalgae interaction system and bioreactor by 3D Printer; Participated in writing wiki material.

Ziyan Li
Transformed plasmids into DH5α E.coli; Recombined three genes into S.cerevisiae BY4741, Vanda、Rosa and Petunia. Fermented yeast in shaking flask with the gene Vanda and measured the yield of phenylethanol through HPLC. Constructed a yeast-microalgae interaction system and bioreactor by 3D Printer. Provided material for Description.

Cheng Chen

Didi Feng
Transformed plasmids into DH5α E.coli; Recombined three genes into yeast, Vanda、Rosa and Petunia; Fermented yeast in shaking flask with the gene Rosa and measured the yield through HPLC; Provided material for Description.

Wenbo Zhu
Involved in the extraction and purification of aeblue protein induced expression proteins as well as for protein concentration, wavelength measurement, and protein electrophoresis; Participated in brewer's yeast fermentation and performed HPLC analysis of substrate and product concentrations.

YiFei Dai
Organizer and Leader of the model group; Responsible for the data analyzing and cleaning; Using python to construct the basic structure of the Neural Network model; Tuning and testing the CNN, RNN and Random Forest model for further improvment.

Jvzheng Liang
Responsible for data processing and programming; Do mainly python coding and modeling based on neural network machine learning including Random Forest; Convolutional Neural Network and Recurrent Neural Network.

Yuting Zeng
Responsible for the bronze medal experiment: Characterized the chromoprotein gfasPurple; Responsible for the gold medal experiment: Constructed four recombinant plasmids; Provided wiki material of the bronze prize and gold medal.

Huixin Hou
Responsible for the bronze medal experiment: Characterized the chromoprotein gfasPurple; Responsible for the gold medal experiment: Constructed four recombinant plasmids; Provided wiki material of the bronze prize and gold medal.

JiFan Zhang
Communicated with companies and other IGEM teams; Visited a farm in Nanjing; Designed and distributed a questionnaire; Participated in Nanjing China-iGEM’s meet up activity and presented our projects to other teams; Provided wiki materials for HP.

Our Primary PI, Dr.Wenming Zhang provided us with support of experiment platform, materials and equipment. He arranged the overall wet-lab plan. Our secondary PI, Dr. Guannan Liu, Dr. Fengxue Xin and Dr. Ziyi Yu helped us troubleshootour experimental design.
Xia Zhang and Changbin Gong are the teachers in charge of thelab we use in the Biochemical Engineering Experimental Teaching Center of NanjingTech University. Thanks to their support for our experimental implements and experimental materials.

Project history
We started brainstorming in March this year, providing initial ideas for the project. The specific tasks arrangement and schedule planning began in May. The wet-lab experiment started in June.

We are a team from NanjingTech University. Our school teaches a synthetic biology course in the form of elective course, which can be taken by juniors
