Project Modeling
This year, our team presents to the jury two models - "Gut in Glass" ruminal simulation and metabolic modeling enabling to illustrate and modify bromoform production. These models allow us to predict the future implications that our project may have and how it would be fully realized.
Gut in Glass
In order to see the practical results of our theoretical research, we created the ruminal simulation. This allowed us to test our hypothesis without endangering any living organism or the environment.
Metabolic Model
The aim of this model was to create a theoretical estimation of how successful our solution of using E.coli would be in achieving our goal of methane reduction. It allowed the team to make estimations that could be carried over to various other aspects of the project.
