SAFETY
Laboratory Safety
Before entering the laboratory, the teacher gave us strict and detailed safety training. From the personal safety, drug and reagent safety, equipment safety, operation safety, and other aspects of the teaching us in detail, we seriously understand and learn the safety knowledge. In addition, the teacher also taught us how to carry out correct and standardized experimental operations, and gave us a demonstration of operation and accident handling.
When laboratory members are doing experiments, we must put on protective clothing, latex gloves, masks, and sometimes goggles to protect our own personal safety. Similarly, eating is forbidden in the laboratory. Food may affect the experimental effect or even contaminate the reagent. Teachers usually ask us to put our bags and other items in lockers.
Here are some more detailed safety considerations for the experiment:
1.All members must worn laboratory coat, gloves, goggles before entering the laboratory and should always wear it during the lab
2.Any type of drinking and eating at laboratory is forbidden
3.Members must make sure that they have made fully protection before handling dangerous chemicals
4.Clean the work area carefully and on time every day after work to avoid contamination.
5.Ensure you are fully aware of your facility
6.Tie back hair and loose clothing must be pulled back and secured
7.Remember to wear shoes that cover your feet Don't wear slippers or sandals for the experiment
8.Do not touch any electrical equipment or plugs after your hands have touched the water in case of any danger.
9.When handling the reagent, place the cork in a clean place and seal it immediately after taking the reagent to avoid contamination.
10.After the experiment, the used solution can not be disposed of at will, nor can it be taken out of the chemistry laboratory, must be put into recycling containers or garbage cans.
    11.Inspect centrifuge tubes before use
12.Make sure the centrifuge is balanced
13.Do not leave centrifuge until the full operating speed is reached
14.Stop centrifuge immediately if you heard any unusual noises or shaking.
15.The glass of the ultra-clean table should not be too high.
Microorganism Safety
In our project, we only used Escherichia coli DH5α, BL21(DE3) and Lactobacillus reuteri which are safe to human bodies.
Product Safety
1.Please store in a low temperature (2-8℃) place and avoid direct sunlight before opening the cover.
2.Please use up in 8 hours after unpacking.
3.Please don't heat up the drink because it would destroy the nutrition of the drink.
4. Recommend avoiding drinking on an empty stomach.
