During the development of AptaVita, each team member managed a specific task in line with a corresponding project module. We also received tremendous support from other parties, including supervisors, advisors, experts, and other relevant stakeholders. In addition to this, our sponsors gave us financial support, contributing to realizing our project. Here, we summarize what work has been done by which team member and thank others that have helped us out along the way.
Competition summary and team contributions
iGEM is offered as a course at our institution. As students, we apply to follow the iGEM course and hence join the competition. Two responsible instructors and several assistants guide the course. We started with the iGEM competition in mid-February 2021 and immediately dove into the brainstorming phase. This phase lasted to approximately the end of March 2021. From here on, we started to work in the laboratory and on the other relevant aspects of the project. By this time, we also assigned every team member a management position. The managers managed a specific sub-task of the project and those involved. An overview is shown in Tab. 1.
