Our Parts Our Parts

Our team has developed several parts to confer resistance to UV-B radiation in E. coli or HeLa. Our basic parts code for radiation-resistant proteins, while our composite parts combine these proteins with an inducible Arabinose promoter, a protein coding region, BioBricks, His-tag and linker.

Basic parts

These basic parts are coding dsup sequences that are optimized for the respective host organism, so that they would confer radiation resistance to E. coli and HeLa cells.

Composite parts

Three of our composite parts contain a His-tag with a linker. Two (BBa_K3780019 and BBa_K3780017) of these have the His-tag in the N-terminus of the dsup. In the third (BBa_K3780013), the His-tag is in the C-terminus. In the last (BBa_K3780011) composite parts there is no His-tag. The parts for E. coli also have an arabinose promoter and a protein coding region. The part for HeLa also has a Kozak fragment. All composite parts contain BioBricks, which are BioBrick RFC10 compatible.
