Our project is all about plants. We want to make them better adapted to certain problematic scenarios using evolution within a practical timeframe. To speed up evolution, we used isolated plant cells instead of whole plants.

Learn moreWe then have to direct the evolution. By applying a selection pressure relevant to the chosen adaptation, we reduce the growth rate of cells that are poorly adapted.
