Collaboration with QHFZ

We started to collaborate with QHFZ after we met at the iGEM conference that they hosted. During the conference, we chatted and decided to collaborate on future experiments and Human Practices.

Later on, during the days of experimentation, the QHFZ team borrowed liquid nitrogen from our lab to conduct their experiment. Beyond that, we also held regular meetings with their team to look for opportunities of collaboratively hosting human practice events.

Soon, we hosted an education and iGEM introduction session with the QHFZ team. We introduced the iGEM competition to the new 9th grade students in Tsinghua University High School. Beyond that, we also taught the students about the basics of synthetic biology, such as promoters, terminators, genes, proteins, genetic circuits, and much more. Then, we also presented our iGEM project to teach others about insights we gained while doing our experiments and preparation we did for this competition.
