Shihao Fang

As a 10th grader in Fudan International School in Shanghai, Max joined both Wetlab and Drylab group in the iGEM Project. He believes that his computer programming skills could contribute mostly on DryLab for the SJTang team, but he never hesitated on participating in the Wetlab group, such as designing several experiment scenarios and help prepare solutions or mediums that are crucial for the lab procedures. Though the process of importing required packages or debugging codes drove him anxious many times, but he faces the problem and spent a lot of time surfing on web and coding communities seeking for a solution for the problem. Max does not give up easily, and the eagerness to improve himself for both his personalities and coding skills helped him to overcome all kinds of obstacles he had encountered.
Siqi Wang

Vicky is a grade 12 student in Wuhan Britain-China School. As a big fan of Biology, she actively participate in experimental processes and hardware constructions in IGEM. She loves Biology in particular, taking it as her future interest. Besides, she is a summer lover, story lover, and movie lover. “ There is a light is all of us; it is hidden you just need to light it.”

“Face it and tackle it!" Although Ryan is not a perfect team member who armed with all the fantastic skills, he still keeps trying! As a grade 11 student from Hangzhou Foreign Language School Cambridge A-Level Center, Ryan is the main designer of the whole project and joined the Wetlab group. He's got two personalities, one is innovative, but another is so conservative! Several accidents happened during the project and sometimes Ryan could be frustrated, but he tried harder to find and correct the mistakes instead of just give up. Facing all the problems and his drawbacks and trying to improve himself, that's what Ryan does all the time!

As a 10th grader, Chloe is now studying at Shanghai Foreign Language School Affiliated to SISU. She may lack experience in doing research and starting a project because of her age—she is one of the youngest members of her team, she is passionate about the ongoing project and always gets excited whenever she enters the lab. She participated in the Wiki group and wet lab group and helps with the designs of the team's Wiki page. "I take part in this iGEM contest because of my keen interest in synthetic biology," said Chloe, "besides this, painting and playing the guitar are also hobbies that I would never give up." Striving to be a versatile person is always her goal.
Yueqi Bai

Stella believes “There is no royal road to science, and only those who do not dread the fatiguing climb of its steep paths have a chance of gaining its luminous summits.”
As igemer, she participated in the formulation of the subject, the design of pv scripts and early experimental activities. As a future biologist and medical scientist, she will continue to unswervingly advance on the road of science. She will devote herself to studying cancer mechanisms and immune system rejection, and at the same time learning and inheriting Chinese medicine.
Shengmiao Wang

Shengmiao(Cedric) is a grade 12 student studying IB in WHBC. In iGEM, he worked in the IHP group, taking initiative in organizing and preparing for speeches. He also read some journal articles to help design the experimental procedures. In addition, he has taken important roles in some early experiments as well. Besides his fascination in biology, he is also a frantic music lover, amateur calligrapher, and an all-time anime fan. During his exploration in the world of synthetic biology, he builds strong faith in the potential of biotechnology and aspires to make larger impacts in this field in future.

Teresa Xue is a year 11 student studying IB at Walford Anglican School For Girls. She mainly participates in wiki design and provides any helps for the Human Practice group if needed. She lives in Shenzhen, but stuck in Australia due to Covid. She is an introvert who addicted to Visual art, Anime and handheld games such as Splatoon 2. Also, she is looking forward to study Immunology and Biochemistry in University.

Daisy C is an ordinary team member who is not the most knowledgeable but do have great interests in promoting every single part. She does not have various hobbies and is not sociable. In most cases, she'd like to spend time alone to think about everything. In the SJTang, she acts as a team member in wetlab experiment group. She and her teammates went through tonnes of failures and tried best to fix the problems. It's gonna be one of the most unforgettable experience of her.

Besides the beautiful wish to live a prosperous long life, what interests him most is the word “PEACE,” particularly how to make and restore peace in our relationship with nature. It motivates him to observe our world through the lens of biological theory, and eager to explore not only how individuals, populations, communities, and ecosystems presently function but also how they may respond to changes in the future. Away from his academic study, he also enjoys to do some sports. Basketball is his favourite. He used to play professional basketball for his school team.

Annie Lian is a grade eleven student from UWCCSC. She joined the wiki group and did some art related work in this iGEM team. She loves eggs, milk, and cheese, what a protein lover! Also a crazy Disney k-pop fan. Annie always tries to maintain a healthy lifestyle, such as eating healthier, sleeping earlier, and exercising more (dancing is a gooood exercise). As a sagittarius, trying new and adventurous things is her favorite! Keep learning, and keep progressing.

Rosy Wu is a grade ten student from WFLA. She has tried out experiments in lab at the summer holidays and also joins the wiki and human practice group. She is quite interested in biology, linguistics, viewing exhibitions, listening to songs, and watching manga. Besides, she loves lizards and has always hoped to get one as a pet. She thinks it’s quite fun at the lab conducting experiments and gradually getting to know the principles. She hopes herself to merrily live in the moment, and believes that dedication is perfection.

He took part in the wetlab experient group on SJTang team. Nancy Zhou is a Grade 11 student from Shanghai Jianping High School. She joined the experimental group and the HP group. While collaborating with group members, she improved her skills in experiments, and acquired new ideas on the biological aspect of generating hydrogen. As a people person, Nancy interviewed the professor of the environmental department from Tongji University with the leading teacher and team leader Shichong, learning the prospect on the implementation of hydrogen from a marketing perspective. Besides her contributions to the team, Nancy is also an optimistic and outgoing young lady, who loves debating and baking.

Louise He from Shanghai, China is a junior at St. Mark’s School in Massachusetts, her pronouns are she/her/hers. Louise is part of the human practice team and also spent some time doing lab work on the side. Louise also spends time playing Texas Hold’em (very competitively) with her colleagues during breaks at the lab.
Louise has a deep interest in philosophy and feminism and takes pride in her work as part of the pathways program at school. In addition, Louise plays floor hockey competitively, while she also has a great time at field hockey and ice hockey at school. As a member of the school sustainability club, Louise is passionate about sustainability and believes that innovative technologies play a great role in combating climate change.

An introverted year 10 student from King’s college school Chengdu. She joined the experimental group. She didn’t have much experience on biological experiments before she joined SJTang and she learned a lot in the three weeks period of time, either theoretical and experimental. She loves animations, music games and drama especially for Dear Evan Hansen. She is fascinated with music and she plays the piano, small drum and celesta in her free time.

Bobby is a Grade 12 student in SFLS. In the team, he paid attention to lab work and hardware. While working with teammates and teachers, he had to admit that one may always learn from others. Despite being one of the oldest member in the team, Bobby probably need to learn more quickly in order to catch on the pace. However, motivated by the will to contribute to the project, he kept asking and learning and will continue that in the future.

Dengqian(Ken) is a junior in Concord Academy, Massachussetts. Hailing from Shanghai, China, he is deeply intrigued by the mesmerizing beauty of biology, linguistics and music (a multi-instrumentalist!). He has always had a dream of having a dog, but this has to wait unfortunately because he is now a boarding student. In this team, he is mainly occupied with making and editing videos.

As a 17-year-old student who studies in JZIB, Jessica is now studies in IB1. She joined HP and did some related work in the IGEM team. She enjoys painting, lemon, mystics, paleontology, diving and volleyball. She once wanted to raise a little black cat, but has never been able to do so for 10 years. She also planted some stone flower named Raymond, which is growing well and may be used to do some experiments someday. She hopes to work harder and enter a university she wants.

Zeyu Shi

"I am convinced that human life is filled with mnay pure, happy, serene examples of insincerity, truly splendid of their kind-of people deceiving one another without (strangely enough) any wounds being inflicted, of people who seem unaware even that they are deceioving one another." Rain Shi is a senior from the Avon Old Farms School. He has been playing soccer and piano for over ten years. Being deeply touched by the book No Longer Human, Dazai Osamu became his favorite person and he was thoroughly influenced by the ideas that Dazai preached. During the contest, he was involved in the wiki group and has conducted some experiments. He is looking forward to devoting himself into the field of biostatistics in the future.

Zhihan(Tommy) Zhang is a sophomore from Groton School. He has a passion for solving problems in biology with computer science, and in the future he hopes to pursue a career in the field of bioinformatics. During the iGEM contest, he helped building the team's wiki and designing the hardwares for the experiments. Besides biology and computer science, in his free time, Tommy also loves to play jazz on his saxophone, watch anime, and destroy his fingers with rhythm games.
