What's our attribution this year?
Our team is managed by our team leaders Jiahui Yuan and Jovian Liu, and guided by our advisers Yixian Yang. Through researches and discussions, all members of the team has a clear idea of our project, and together we achieved our goal.
Brain storm: Jiahui Yuan is in charge of this group. All members of our team took part in brain storming. We came up with various ideas and Eric Xu came up with the idea of synthesize dyes using biological methods. Then we decided to focus on the production of Tyrian Purple.
Wet lab: Jiahui Yuan is in charge of this group. Every team member participated in doing experiments. We had a two-week shift during the summer vacation in the lab and we usually conducted experiments on Thursdays. Justin, Albert, Andrew Li and Zihui Wang finished most molecular cloning. Yiqiao Wang, Jiahui Yuan, Ruoxuan Li, Anran Chu and Wanzheng Qu took part in molecular cloning. In addition, our adviser Tianze Zhu also provided us some help. Jiahui Yuan,Collin, Meiyi Liu, Jaqulline, Sarah Liu and Darrin finished most functional verification experiments: synthetise, SDS-PAGE, etc. Jiahui Yuan and Anran Chu did the cytology experiments. Ruoxuan Li and Albert contributed a lot to detect the optimal experimental conditions at the initial stage of our project.
Human Practices: Jiahui Yuan is in charge of this group. Yuan did most of the work during the interviews, asking important questions and sending questionnaires on line for the public to answer. The interview reports were written by Yiqiao Wang and Jiahui Yuan. All members are active during the visits to the medicine factories and learned a lot through the process.
Collaborations and Partnerships: Zonghao Cheng is in charge of this group. Cheng organized a series of meetups both in reality and on line. One of the meetups is held at our school with 8 teams participating it. During the meetups, Jianhui Yuan, Yiqiao Wang and Wanzheng Qu took part in delivering the speech about our project. We also collaborate with the team of BHSF and frequently discuss our products with each other.
Education and Communication:Zonghao Cheng is in charge of this group.Zonghao Cheng, Yiqiao Wang, Ruoxuan Li took part in giving a lecture about dyes to university students on line. Jiahui Yuan, Darrin and Justin had gave the speech to high school students. We also organized Synthetic Biology Festival and attracted many students. Many members took part in preparing the Online Student Carnival and Synthetic Biology Festival.
Model: Xuanrui Feng did the basic modeling, and Zonghao Cheng helped him with completing this project. We are also benefited from the code made by the QHFZ IGEM team of last year(2020).
Wiki: Jovian Liu determined the design and wrote the HTML & CSS code of the wiki. Almost all team members contributed to our wiki. The specific division of labor is listed below.
Safety: Anran Chu is in charge of this group. The reason for writing this section is that we hope that you can make suggestions and make progress together after you see the safety rules that we followed in our experiments.
Art: Wanzheng Qu designed the logo, while Jiahui Yuan and Yixian Yang provided her with help. Wanzheng Qu designed our team uniform, while Jiahui Yuan contacted the clothing shop who helped us make team uniforms.
Promotion video: Jiayu Jin, Yujia Fu, Feiyu Xiong designed the promotion video. Anzhe Li is responsible for the illustrations and dubbing of the video. Siting Zhao edited the video.

What others did this year?
Without the help out of our team, we cannot achieve this project. Our interviewers gave our important information and improvement suggestions. Our school, Tsinghua University High School, offered the laboratory and the experiment funds. Tsinghua University High School and Beijing No.4 High School gave the chance for us to do the Science Communication. Our teachers and parents introduced some experts in related fields to us. Several companies supplied equipment, experimental materials and synthesized the gene fragments.
Many iGEM team gave us useful advice. Team BNDS and BHSF gave us gene parts and helped us reappear our result in their laboratories. The other teams also gave us a lot of guidance.
Our Primary PI, Shiqi Wang and Instructor, Tianze Zhu, did a lot of daily chores, such as ordering equipment and experimental materials. They kept measuring our body temperature and did some safeguard procedures to prevent COVID-19. They supervised us to ensure safety when we were doing experiments. They also gave us necessary guidance about experimental technique. During finishing our wiki and videos, Tianze Zhu seriously checked our work to avoid mistake. Some other teachers from Tsinghua University High School and ZENO company and our advisors also gave us necessary guidance.

To summarize our work this year from another point of view.
Jiahui Yuan: one of the leaders of our team. She gave lectures in the education program and the opening report. She also designed the research questions, integrated human practices, participated in experiments and contacted the clothing shop who helped us make team uniforms.
Jovian Liu: responsible for the lab, human practice and design. He gave lectures and activities to other schools on a regular basis, and also design posters, filming and photographing for advertisement
Collin Jin: one of the leaders of our team. He guided us and gave us instructions. He participated in the interviewing Professor Jin, doing experiments and designing the promotion video. He also gave a lecture at the meet-up organized by our team.
Andrew Li: participated in conducting experiments, doing research, making the promotion video and writing Wiki.
Anran Chu: responsible for recording laboratory safety and biosafety aspects of the experiment. Safety is the foundation of setting up an experiment.Knowing the importance of laboratory safety, QHFZ did a great job ensuring the safety of experiments and biomaterials during the experiment.
Ruoxuan Li: responsible for contribution part of Wiki, including writing and editing Wiki.She also participated in the experimental process in the laboratory, such as plasmid construction. In addition, She helped in human practice, such as expounding development of dyes to other students online.
Wanzheng Qu:Responsible for Project Design and all design of Arts, participated in brainstorming, human practices and collaborations, built educational workshops, engaged in Lab and Project Establishment, and wrote wiki.
Zonghao Cheng: responsible for education, collaboration and helped Xuanrui Feng in modeling. Zonghao Cheng helped contacted other teams and holding meet-ups and lectures.
Yiqiao Wang: contributed in conducting experiments and writing the Wiki page. She also took part in interviews with medical facturies and professors, and wrote an interview report.In addition, she partisipated in education projects, such as giving a lecture about dyed antiques
Zihui Wang: participated in doing experiments, advertising our teams’ project and writing a section(the attributions) of Wiki.
Darrin Xie: participated in lab experiments and giving educational lectures.
Eric Xu: contributed in lab experiments and writing the wiki page.
