  • Who are your proposed end users?



  • After our investigation,we learned that ginseng saponin products are widely used in our daily life such as: ginseng mask, ginseng candy, ginseng solid beverage, ginseng shampoo and so on, and these products are indispensable ingredients.At present, traditional methods for extracting ginsenosides have low yields, long cycles, and high production costs, leading to generally higher prices of ginsenoside products. Although consumers have a large consumption demand, the sales of ginsenoside products are low due to the price.


    And our project can greatly improve the production of ginseng saponin, shorten the production cycle of ginseng saponin, thereby reducing the production cost of ginseng saponin, and ultimately reduce the production cost of various ginseng saponin products, So we can reduce costs for end users——manufacturers of ginseng products and consumers .





  • How do you envision others using your project?





  • At present, there are two main methods for producing ginseng saponins. One is to extract ginseng saponins directly from ginseng. However, the ginseng growth cycle is long and the ginseng saponin content in ginseng is very low.What's more extracting is very difficult, and because of the individual differences of ginseng, ginseng saponin production will also be affected. Therefore, the yield of this method is low.

    The other method is microbial conversion. However, the growth requirements of microorganisms are relatively high. In reality, it is difficult to strictly control the growth of each batch of microorganisms and enzyme production.So it is impossible to estimate its impact on ginseng saponin conversion,and the experimental repeatability is low.



    In order to improve the current production method of ginseng saponin, we have produced an enzyme that can increase the production of ginseng saponin. If it can be applied to the production of ginseng saponin, we can greatly improve the production of ginseng saponin. If you want to choose our products, you can consider from the following aspects:

    From the perspective of the effect. Our enzymes can act on one ginseng saponin to produce another in large quantities. Compared to direct extraction from ginseng,this method can increase the yield of ginseng saponin significantly . At the same time, the ginseng saponin quality can be guaranteed to be good, the activity will not be affected. For microbial conversion method, the environment and other conditions are easier to achieve and the repeatability is good.


    From the perspective of time.If the ginseng saponin is extracted directly from ginseng, the time is extremely long because ginseng need a long period to grow. And the growth of Ginseng is strongly influenced by environment and season.However, using the enzyme conversion method not only can greatly improve the effecience , but also to ensure product quality.


    From the perspective of cost , through the enzyme conversion method to produce ginseng saponin can save the cost caused by artificial plant ginseng plants. And this method can greatly improve the yield while improving the production quality .

      We will introduce our products and effects to the relevant enterprises that produce ginseng products, enterprises will need to mass production of ginseng saponin species to tell us or pass us samples, our company will use the enzymes we developed to produce the saponins they require, and eventually we will produce saponin products and their samples to compare, confirm the applicability of our company's research and development, and then start the target ginseng saponin mass production.





  • What other challenges would you need to consider?



  • Our dynamic study of SS-bgly found that Rd→F2 is a speed-limiting step throughout the conversion process, and in order to overcome this problem, the structure of ginseng saponin Rd to the active sites received to SS-bgly, through software analysis and given hydrophobic protein sites that may improve its catalytic efficiency, we will further study it, based on research and development to further improve the enzyme activity, thereby improving the yield of ginseng. We will consider the fixation of enzymes, which can be significantly reduced by increasing the number of enzymes used to make them more suitable for industrial production.
