Proposed Implementation

We have successfully engineered OMVs and demonstrated that they are capable of inducing an immune response.

We have collaborated with other iGEM teams to broaden our horizon.

For a meaningful contribution to the world, it is important to consider different aspects of the project. This is why we talked to experts from many fields.

Our project would allow to reduce the pesticide load in the environment.

Education

We characterised the EsaR regulator that was introduced to the registry by the ETH Team in 2016.

We proved that our engineered OMVs are capable of inducing an immune response in A. thaliana.

We received inputs from experts both for the lab and the implementation and integrated them.

We have engaged with different demographics using various approaches to educate about GMOs in agriculture.

Best Basic Part

Best Composite Part

Best Part Collection

Best Plant Synthetic Biology

We characterised and added several basic parts to the registry.

Our composite parts include our ClyA constructs as well as the constructs we used for characterisation in improvement of existing part.

The novelty of our project allowed us to contribute a wide variety of parts that can be used by future teams to the iGEM registry.

With our project, we took steps to establish OMVs as a new human-plant interface.

Best Wiki

Our project was continuously shaped by the input from experts until it finally became BOOM V.

The premise of our project is to promote sustainable agriculture. Thus, the SDGs followed us through our whole iGEM journey.

What is a project worth if we cannot communicate our ideas effectively?

Our wiki has a simple style that allows to focus on the information we present.
