Team Training and Project Start Our institution does not give iGEM or Synthetic Biology courses. Therefore, all of our students started this project with background knowledge only in classical and molecular genetics, as well as systems biology.
The 2021 UZurich iGEM team was created back in November 2020. Our brainstorming sessions started at the beginning of February 2021, in parallel with looking for a host lab and sponsors. Our lab work started in the beginning of June 2021.
