Thank you for showing interest in contributing to our efforts in relieving a key stress to the Great Barrier Reef - warming of the seas through climate change. This exhibition is just a small portion of our project. If you would like to know more about the synthetic biology behind it, or even participate through a short interview, don't hesitate to contact us at unsw.igem@gmail.com

By filling out a past feedback form, participants entered a promoted giveaway. This included:
  • A $50 donation to a local marine conservation charity of your choice
  • Sea Shepherd’s stainless steel water bottle
  • A reusable bamboo cutlery set
  • A reef-safe SPF50 vegan sunscreen by People4Ocean.
These items were chosen with conservation in mind. With Sea Shepherd being an international marine wildlife conservation organisation, the bamboo cutlery set having all profits forwarded to the Australian Marine Conservation Society, and People4Ocean which fights sunscreen pollution in our ocean, donating a percentage of all sales towards reef conservation initiatives.

We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Custodians of country in Australia, and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to their Elders, both past and present.
