Purpose
We are determined to raise funds through a charity sale, in order to raise awareness of our team's project and increase the popularity of the project we are working on. ; Meanwhile, covering some of our high expenses for the experimentation and design the manufacture of our products could be achieved. Also, we could contribute the earnings to further experiments and relating charities. With specially designed original logos and many of our peripherals-related products, our team printed our unique designs on canvas bags, teddy bears, headphone cases, and other items that follow the trend of popularity. We contacted staff at two locations to sell them at street fairs to get more attention. There were reasons why we ultimately selected a square in the proximity of the shopping mall. Firstly, in the vicinity of malls, people are generally with high consumption levels. They are likely to purchase our products even though they won't might probably not be immediately helpful for them. Besides, the shopping mall is an entertainment venue, recreation, which means people who stroll down the street will likely be willing to leisurely halt us.
Operating process
Bringing the products and our posters to the square, we prepared to sell the products. Firstly, some of the members distributed the fliers imprinted with stories of our products around our bazaar location. Other members stayed at the selling point, introducing our topic of the project and promoting our products. We claimed that we are a team of high school students raising money for arsenic contamination. When the customers purchased our products, we would give them a thanks card with the name and QR code of our WeChat official account, appreciating them for paying attention to this environmental issue and our effort.
Final result
As a result, we succeeded in selling our products on the street with the profits of 250rmb , which provided us with expanding chances opportunities to support our experiments and enhance the products we made our social publicity. Furthermore, a portion (10%) of the money we earn will be donated to people suffering from arsenic poisoning, which could raise awareness of arsenic poisoning and environmental issues.
The sale also gave us an insight into the public attention to environmental protection. As a result, we will step up our efforts to promote environmental protection, making people pay more heeds attention to these ecological issues.
