INTEGRATED HUMAN PRACTICES
During our project, we organized and participated in various activities with the goal to spread the word of Synthetic Biology, iGEM, and our project to society.
Early Cancer Diagnosis
After careful researching and investigation, we found that the general idea of early cancer screening is relatively poor in modern society. This is mainly because of insufficient education, and more importantly, lack of effective and friendly methods for early detection.
On the one hand, we conducted several comprehensive activities for education, which aimed at people across all ages. That includes both the synthetic biology and early cancer diagnosis. On the other hand, long-lasting cooperation was made between us and renowned research institute and tech companies. Based on this, our innovative software is promising to help medical workers to diagnosis early cancer symptoms.
Ⅰ、Healthy China
The State Council, China's cabinet, had issued a new guideline to implement the country's Healthy China initiative. With the introduction of the "Healthy China initiative"[1], disease prevention and treatment had attracted much more attention, and people's health had increasingly become a national strategic focus.
Ⅱ、Literature Research
In today's world, cancer has become the main cause of death. According to statistics from the World Health Organization (WHO)[2], cancer is the primary cause of death for people under 70 in 112 countries. The global cancer incidence and death rate are rising rapidly.
