Eric Zhang
Hi, I am Eric Zhang from 12th grade in RDFZ-CHINA. To me, biology is a miraculous and amazing subject that full of explorations and developments, a variety of phenomenons and mechanisms really fascinate me a lot. In iGEM, I can design the project in my mind, have experiments in the lab and cooperate with other team member. All of these experiments are really beneficial to me, and I enjoy this process very much.
Joey Wang
Hi, I am Joey Wang from 11th grade in RDFZ-China. My position is one of the team leaders this year. To me, synthetic biology is the most amazing subject I ever learned about. Because we can attach to the deepest parts of a creature and use it to benefits our life. In IGEM, I learn how to design and rebuild DNA in bacterial, and enjoy the cooperation and exploration with my teammates. It is a wonderful experience.
Jennifer Wu
Hello there. I'm Jennifer, one of the team leaders this year. Last year I was also in the team, did some experiment, did some human practice, and coded some stuff. This year my role is basically shouting at people to make them work. I hope everybody is still healthy and happy after the whole iGEM thing.
Love: challenge, science, epinephrine, music, films, and football games.
Hate: phony adults, boredom, bad data, and worms.
Harry MA Yi-hao
Hi I' m Harry MA Yi-hao. IGEM is a competition that not only limited in biology but also various skills like math modeling and poster designing, thus everyone can take part in it. This is the most attractive part for me to joy IGEM. The experience of taking part in it will be a meaningful and unforgettable experience. Wish I will keep my interest in synthetic biology and explore the secret of life.
Eric Ding
Hello everyone, I am Eric Ding from RDFZ-China. I currently participate in the modeling group. I have joined iGEM because I wish to create something using frontier technology and see how it can affect the world. I will work together will my teammates to achieve this.
Yunqi Fu
I am Yunqi Fu from RDFZ-China. Why biology? When I think of this question, I think of life. It gives me an in-depth understanding of the natural world. We conduct research, solve problems, organize, and think critically to know more about life. Understanding these intricate details of life helps us understand how to care for themselves, animals and plants in the proper manner. That is what we do in this project.
Weldon Li
I am Weldon Li, a second-year high school student from ICC. I am the president of the Biology Club in the school. Because of my passion for Biology and preference for team competition, I engaged in RDFZ-China. I am a member of the Human Practice and Experiment department. Besides Biology, I’m also interested in sports such as American football and violin. I wish we can pursue a better result in this season and hope all of our efforts will not be in vain.
Jiangshan Gong
My name is Jiangshan Gong. I have been interested in biology since primary school when I always played in a garden, observing various types of flowers and insects. After learning biology, I am especially fascinated with the concept of genes, which is essential to the colorful nature. It is iGEM that leads me to a microscopic world that I have never known before.
James Liu
I'm James from the wiki group, primarily helping to design and build team wiki as well as carrying out experiments in the team. I'm a extroverted person with a variety of interests. I love many kinds of ball sports, music, pc gaming and films.
Xinran Liu
This is Xinran Liu from RDFZ G12. This year is my second year collaborating with such a nice team as well as the second year of my modeling journey. Through the year, I've progressed in the interdisciplinary field of biology and mathematics with growing interest and enthusiasm, expecting to dive deeper using a unique perspective. Charmed by the systemic approach of logic and order, I believe modeling is a challenging yet intriguing job that connects the practical outcome with our theoretical design. Again, great thanks to the brilliant team.
William Li
Hi, I’m William from the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China. I am fond of biology, synthetic biology, and interdisciplines such as bioengineering and bioinformatics. iGEM enables me to enhance my cooperative ability, mathematical modeling ability, and experiment-conducting ability. iGEM offers me a great chance to improve myself and get to know about synthetic biology.
Alice Wenxin Qian
Hi, I’m Alice Wenxin Qian, a grade 11 student from RDFZ-CHINA. When I just entered the school, I saw the wiki of iGEM of our school last year, which was about treating depression through tea. I was deeply attracted by the design and the experiment, and I found that we can solve the practical problem that is affecting people’s lives through our efforts, which makes my heart throbbing. I love biology, and I really want to contribute my strength to help others, so I’m coming here to participate in iGEM this year.
Racheal Qifang Yuan
Hi! I am Rachael from senior two, RDFZ-China. I have been so much deep into biology ever since I was a kid and I am always a fond designer. That's why I made a choice to dedicate to synthetic biology. Our project offers me a stage-to create, to associate, and to impact. And, most importantly, it is a pathway for me to share my concerns and provide my own solutions with exploration to the entire globe, humans' common society. My passion grows within persistence altogether with inspiration. In iGEM I got the chance to meet up all wonderful people who shares this zeal. Here, I would be also able to combine the best talent in me with the best subject I adore. Conjointly, I believe, we will deliver our best shot.
Suri Zhang
I am Suri. Biology is the subject I am passionate about. This is my first year participating in iGEM, and I found synthetic biology intriguing. I belong to the human practice group. I always wanted to create something useful on my own, and iGEM provided me with the chance to fulfill my dream. I enjoy spending time together with my teammates to refine our project. I hope you will like our project as much as I do.
William Zheng
Hi, I am William Zheng, a grade 11 student in RDFZ-China. I found interest in biology and expect to develop the ability of cooperation in this competition. This is my first time joining this activity, and I learned a lot from the other member, not just biology but other knowledge as well.
Mike Junhan Wang
Hi everyone, I’m Mike Junhan Wang from RDFZ-CHINA! I’ve always loved to embrace new things in life. This is the reason why I took iGEM because I think it is an excellent chance to learn more about synthetic biology and do these experiments by ourselves. It is also a great opportunity to know more people and work with them on a huge project. The best thing is that I got to challenge myself. Even though website construction was completely new to me at first, with interest and curiosity, I taught myself how to make things work and realize the aesthetic designs made by my teammates. All in all, I have learned a great deal from this experience and I really enjoyed it.
Zhu Yulin
Hello, I'm Tony Zhu Yulin from S3C5. Staying up late and exercising are my main hobbies. I also interest in keeping pats, scuba diving, making videos, and absolutely, playing games. Meixuan Wu
I’m Meixuan Wu from RDFZ-CHINA. I have been to interested in biology since Grade 7 when we are learning the systems of humans. Those principles and pictures of the structure of organs were really fascinating to me. In addition, because of an autobiography written by a neurosurgeon which I have read that time, I decided to choose neuroscience as my major in university and become a neurosurgeon in the future. After I went to high school, I joined the iGEM team, RDFZ-CHINA, in our school, which makes me be interested in synthetic biology. Hence I started to consider choosing synthetic biology as future career as well.
