Team Leader Our merciless leader, who always had the right answer. Always there. Everywhere. Team Leader Our multitasking leader and also Wet lab member and Dry lab member and Human practices member. (Yeah, pretty much everywhere).
Head of Wet Lab Our awesome, fantastic, amazing head of Wet lab. Without her, we couldn't have managed to draw a plan (let alone conduct experiments). Head of Human Practices Our fearless head of Human practices, who loves making plans and keeping us organized. (Be careful, she can be strict). Wet lab & Human Practices A true MVP, that anyone would love to have in their team. She can complete any task in half a shake, but don’t tell her to join a late-night meeting; it’s her worst nightmare. Fundraising & Wet Lab Our tireless head of Fundraising. He literally went door-to-door, in order to find sponsors for our team. Fundraising & Wet Lab Our Wet lab and Fundraising member with the most social concerns. He kept mentioning the working-class during experiments. Wet Lab & Fundraising Our electrophoresis-gel-guru (Yeah, he has an expertise)! Always offering a significant contribution to the Wet lab experiments and research. Social media Manager & Wet lab Our smiley influencer and the youngest member of our team. Also, a crucial member of Wet lab. Dry Lab & Human Practices Our cool coordinator of Dry lab, who can't get nervous. Seriously, I have never seen this guy just a little bit anxious. Dry Lab Our sci-tech master and creator of our wiki. I guess he can write whatever he wants about himself, when he will upload this file. (Don't believe what you read). Graphics Our creative artist and graphic designer, who wished she had dressed up as a bacteriophage. (It's an inside joke, guys). As our Primary PI, he supported us from the very first minute. He kept on advising, proposing possible solutions, providing us with the necessary materials and challenging us to come up with the best design possible for our project. He believed in us, and we are grateful for his endless help. He is also one of our Primary PIs. Without his help, we couldn’t have participated in the Competition, as he was the one that contributed the most in order to get funding for our team registration and the registration for the Giant Jamboree. He was our instructor and gave us plenty of help and insights regarding all the protocols we came across. Without his contribution and his knowledge, our experiments would not have come so far. We would also like to thank Eftychia Symeonidou. She was one of the first people to join the team however, she had to leave for personal reasons. She had a vital role in the conception of our project’s idea and initial research. She was also the person responsible for our first Human Practices sessions. Secondary PI. He let us use his Laboratory in order to conduct our experiments and provided helpful insight during the brainstorming process.
Dr. Lefkothea-Vasiliki Andreou is with us from the beginning of the project, since team recruiting. Initially, she helped us with administrative and project managing issues and then her contribution expanded to Human Practises, Science Communication and Education. She supervised and chaired a round table with iGEM 2021 teams from Greece (Athens, Crete, Ioannina, Thessaloniki, Thessaly) at a student medical conference, she hosted our lecture to her class of undergraduate Chemistry students and organized our participation to a news show at local TV and local radio. We thank her for her continuous commitment to the project. Secondary PIs. They gave us recommendations on the implementation of the project and guidance in the modelling of our project (assistance in dry lab). Advisor on our wet lab planning. She gave us a clear view on safety matters and helped us in the administrative work needed for our presence in the lab. Recommendations and guidance about the antibiotics that should be targeted and the implementation of our idea. Took part in our share action with IVSA Thessaly, giving a speech about the usage of antibiotics and their presence in aquatic ecosystems. Was the co- speaker of the webinar we organized with IVSA Thessaly and talked about antibiotics and their use in livestock. Helped us with some deliveries and provided us necessary materials for our experiments. He also guided us regarding some molecular biology methods, such us CRISPR-Cas9 and clonetegration. Helped us organize a series of stories and posts on social media about AMR, antibiotics, One Health and SDGs and a webinar about One Health concerning antibiotic usage in animals. Helped us understand the process of poultry waste management. Advice regarding Space and contribution to Space Synthetic Biology article.Attributions
