Special Mentions

Dr. Mayi Arcellana-Panlilio

Dr. Mayi was the main supervisor and support for the whole team in all aspects of our work. Her many years of experience in synthetic biology and iGEM mentoring provided the backbone of our planning and function as a team, and her tireless effort facilitated all aspects of our success.

Tian Zhao

As a wet lab Teaching Assistant (TA) for iGEM Calgary, Tian has offered us extensive support and mentorship throughout the season. His wealth of experience in the techniques of molecular biology has helped guide us through the process of designing, conducting, and troubleshooting our experiments.

Tammy Lu

Tammy Lu was the Research Assistant (RA) for the wet lab, and provided invaluable help with experimental design and day-to-day work. Her expertise particularly with PCRs was essential to our troubleshooting, and her bubbly personality was a blessing for lab morale.

Andrew Symes

Andrew worked with the team as drylab advisor over the year. He helped with MDSC 507 course delivery and was in the trenches with our drylab to squeeze every once of performance we can get out of lanmodulin. His 6'5" height also came in handy for those hard to reach shelves.

Sebastian Alvarez

Sebastian guided and supported our engineering team on the design of the bioprocessing adsorber column and bioreactor, as well as all of the associated modelling required. He also advised each of our the wet lab subgroups on their experimental design and troubleshooting options.
