sieber

Prof. Dr. Martin Sieber

Institute for Functional Gene Analytics, Professor for Clinical Research, Hochschule-Bonn-Rhein-Sieg HBRS. More Information

Prof Dr. Sieber from the Hochschule Bonn Rhein Sieg help us and guide us through the project establishment process. He listened carefully to all our ideas and introduced us to colleagues with different backgrounds (finances, industry, entrepreneurship, and more) that gave us extremely useful advice on the project’s final decision and design.

Professor Sieber was always there for us giving his support, and for that, we are sincerely thankful.

deppenmeier

Prof Dr. Deppemmier

Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology, University of Bonn. More Information

Prof Dr. Deppemmier from the University of Bonn believed in our project and provide us with an amazing lab environment that allowed us to make reality our ideas. Without his contribution, this project could not have been possible and because of that, we will be forever grateful to him and all the members of the AG Deppenmeier, that guide us and answer our all technical questions.

In addition, we would like to give special thanks to Dr. Marcel Hövels (AG Deppenmeier member), who introduce us to the safety regulations of the lab, ensuring our well-being, and contributed to our science slam by giving an interesting and amazing talk, sharing his knowledge with us and the viewers.

Academic Support

We are extremely thankful to our two Alma Mater, the Rheinische-Friedrich-Wilhelms Universität of Bonn and the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sing, which are full of excellent professors and advisors, that are always there for encouraging students like us. There, we found our passion for science and come together as a team.

iGEM Community

We are proud of the IGEM community, which allowed us to get in contact with different teams all around the world, that share similar interests to ours. Thanks to the IGEM community we had the invaluable opportunity to make partnerships, collaborations, and friends!

We are tremendously proud and happy to have a partnership with an excellent team such as iGEM Calgary. Our similar ideas and visions brought us together, but it was our different points of view and approaches that made this collaboration possible and so unique. We are grateful for all the time, meetings, and ideas exchange we had together, and we hope that our paths cross again in the future.

We are so happy to have collaborated with IGEM Kaiserslautern during the whole year in many different activities and social projects. Their creativity and passion were always outstanding and together we were able to create an ambicious project: The Science Slam, an event full of brand new ideas, motivation, education, and fun!

Last, but not least, we would like to thanks the iGEM teams Aachen, Dusseldorf, and Kaiserslautern for teaming up and create with us interactive and entertaining scientific activities, such as the escape room. Events that required an exceptional amount of work and logistics, and that we couldn't have done without this amazing team collaboration.
