Hello, I am Haekyung Shin.

I am attending my junior year as a Bioconvergence major at Yonsei University. My major interest in the field of science is pharmaceuticals and environmental engineering. I enjoy cooking and baking, as well as watching movies and playing games. I look forward to the iGEM competition as a researcher and designer. I hope our project can positively impact the local issues!

Dr. Seongwook Yang, is a professor in the Department of Systems Biology currently working on MicroRNAs, Arabidopsis, Nanoclusters, ubiquitin-protein ligases, and Phytochrome A.
Dr. Pratik Shah.

Dr. Pratik Shah, is a research professor at Yonsei University, in the Department of Systems Biology. Dr. Pratik Shah is currently working on DNA nanotechnology, biosensors, blood-based diagnostics, DNA and RNA nanostructures, and microRNA detection.
Dr. Milan Balaz.

Dr, Milian Balaz, is an Associate professor at Yonsei University in the Department of Bioconvergence. Current research areas are DNA templated supramolecular, nanostructures, and chiral nanoparticles.
Our university’s main campus is located in Seoul which is the capital city of South Korea. Seoul is a fantastic city with a current population of 9.7 million people. The city is very rich in history and culture with temples and four major palaces but also the tall buildings and skyscrapers make it one of the modernized cities in East Asia. Seoul is also known for its well-developed economy and business center for a great number of companies.

Yonsei_Korea is a convergent team of students based in Seoul, South Korea striving to create meaningful change utilizing synthtic biology in the iGEM 2021 Competition.
