Communication

The implementation of education and science communication of our project came from creating a children’s storybook and reaching out to elementary schools to share the importance of synthetic biology and how it relates to our project (the storybook has been translated to three languages aside from English). The storybook was created in collaboration with many iGEM teams, namely, Calgary. Our aim was to inspire and excite children about the concepts of environmentalism and engineering. We emphasized that technology can be used to improve issues that affect people in daily life.
