Expressing Our Thanks
Our Timeline
General Support
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to our PI, Dr. Wei Wei.
His endless enthusiasm and meaningful guidance towards our research could not be more greatly appreciated.
And we also appreciate our instructors, Zhicheng Wang and Zipeng Chen.
Their patient guidance towards our experiment helps us overcome lots of difficulties.
Modeling Support
We would like to thank our advisor Wenjie Guo for providing us the data of the gut microbiome used in one of our models.
Besides, We'd like to express our gratitude to our teammates Xiaowei Li, Qingyang Zhao and Yuhan Wang.
Interested in mathematics, structure simulation and programming respectively,
they spare no efforts to learn modeling knowledge, communicate with each other
and apply their skills to the final Four-in Model.
Covering structural simulation, mathematical models and programming in silico,
they brought the team insight into polyP in design, in bacteria, in gut and in application,
which concentrated on synthetase selection, bacterial growth curve, intestinal microbiome in IBD
and transformation from polyP to medicine.
The results help the team biosynthesize polyP, help to explain the funcition of polyP in IBD
and inspire the transformation from bench to bedside.
Experiment Support
We would like to express our gratitude to our teammates Xiaowei Li, Qingyang Zhao and Yuhan Wang.
Interested in mathematics, structure simulation and programming respectively,
they spare no efforts to learn modeling knowledge, communicate with each other
and apply their skills to the final Four-in Model.
Covering molecular simulation, mathematical models and stochastic model,
they brought the team insight into polyP in design, in bacteria, in gut and in application,
which concentrated on synthetase selection, bacterial growth curve,
intestinal microbiome in IBD and transformation from polyP to medicine.
The results prepare the team to yield polyP, verify the design,
help to explain the funcition of polyP in IBD and inspire the transformation from bench to bedside.
Human Pratice Support
We would like to thank the following people for their support in our human practices efforts:
Thanks to the persons in charge of Nanjing Lotus Environmental Protection Technology Co., LTD,
who took time out of their busy schedule to accept our interview,
introduced us to the development status and market demand of sewage disposal system,
and provided guidance and feedbacks on our sustainable development equipment.
Thanks to PhD Xueheng Zhao from Division of pathology and laboratory medicine
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Cincinnati, Ohio,
Professor Wenjie Guo and Zhi Ding from the School of Life Science of Nanjing University,
