We had the pleasure of sharing our knowledge and experience with teams across the globe. We have detailed our collaborations here!
BITS Goa
For our project wiki page, we used iGEM Goa’s Wiki Starter code as a template (https://igem-wiki-starter.readthedocs.io/en/latest/contributing.html). This proved enormously useful as it enabled us to focus more on creating the actual content and design of the website and less on the coding aspect. The documentation was well written and made the process of setting up the wiki straightforward without requiring extensive background knowledge of web development.
Purdue
We held a virtual meetup with Purdue University’s iGEM team to discuss our projects. We first spent some time getting to know each other and just talked about how COVID-19 impacted our school and ability to work as project teams. We then discussed the work we accomplished thus far, our experimental plans, initial hypotheses, as well as future directions of the project. We also talked about potential areas where our projects overlap so that we may be able to troubleshoot each other’s projects in the future. It was a very fun meeting and team members from both schools learned a lot!
