Contribution
We will add to the BBa_K1807002 page that BBa_K1807002 shows high phosphorus uptake when introduced into E. coli using the plasmid, and contribute to the igem team that will use this part in the future.
We constructed a plasmid (pBEST-ppk) containing BBa_K1807002 and measured the growth rate of bacteria by OD600 using medium with normal phosphorus concentration and medium with double phosphorus concentration.
After the OD600 readings reached a plateau, the increase in phosphorus uptake by pBEST-ppk was characterized by measuring the decrease in the amount of phosphorus in the medium using the QuantiChrom Phosphate Assay Kit (BioAssay Systems).
The results showed that pBEST-ppk showed high phosphorus uptake both in normal medium and in medium with twice the phosphorus concentration.
