WHO WE ARE

Far far away in a miracle land, people live a delight and peace life. But one day, a big monster called polyisoprene suddenly appeared and ruined the happy life people have had. My name is Jerry, and I am the team leader of team KEYSTONE 2021. In the team, I am mainly responsible of team management, project management, and web lab.
Skill: To balance in between all known fields with determination and nothing else. Even though Lisa’s original KDA is extremely low, she still managed to gain her skills little by little, participating in every section of “The Rubber Eater” to help.
Techno-Maniac: Peter Yu uses the art of programming to create digital worlds representing the real world. He has a computer as his weapon, maniacally typing lines of code into it and wishes his product can spread synthetic biology to a larger population. He has the ability to create 2 types of digital worlds: player-controlled movable educational entertainment (video game), and internet-based contents of texts and medias (webpages). He is the team’s programmer, making the video game and wiki possible.

Hi, I'm Andrew Yi. I am in 11th grade. I participated in we tlab, wiki and human practices in the team. i have a keen interest in flora and fauna, swimming, acoustic guitar and some outrageous history. I got into the contest because though I was interested in bio, but not really good at it---I want to be somehow professional on this aspect. i have gained a lot of knowledge in igem about synthetic biology that i had never been exposed to before - from not knowing anything to feeling like i know everything.

Genesis: Use pen and paper as a weapon to create the reality in the virtual world. Interments in game, structure of website, procedure of experiment Auditors: cultivate and screen the strongest E. coli fighters and equip them with the appropriate LCP as weapons. Finally lead the best troops to fight against the rubber monster

This is Kevin Chai from grade 11, working on dry lab human practice and public education, while assisting in wet lab experiments occasionally. Although my largest enthusiasm lies in literature and theater, I desire learning new knowledge and skills in synthetic biology and enhance my abilities in collaboration. Through iGEM, I wish to challenge myself intellectually and physically via discussions, writing, and laboratory work, meet with new peers, and create a solution that effectively addresses a real-world issue, waste rubber.

Keystone

Keystone is a bilingual school standing in Shunyi District, Beijing. Our school attaches great importance to the personal hobbies of students and provides many channels to develop their interests. Among them, for science, our school provides students with a wealth of experimental equipment and opportunities to participate in various competitions. The igem competition is one of them.

Lab

We work in a lab called Link Spider, which stands in Shenzhen. Our laboratory provides students with a lot of rich and advanced experimental equipment, which is convenient for us to conduct accurate experiments and data collection. Link Spider lab provides us with experimental equipment for biology, physics, and chemistry, helps our students conduct multidisciplinary and even interdisciplinary experiments, and gives us the opportunity to create and release the desire for exploration.
