HiZJU-China plays an important role in the Yeast Alliance. In the Yeast Alliance, we participated in the preparation of the yeast experiment manual. We believe that the yeast experiment manual will provide some reference and help for the teams that adopt yeast as engineering bacteria in the future. Beside, we actively participate in meetings held by the Yeast Alliance and always take part in discussions positively. In daily experiments, we will participate in group discussions, Share failure experience and learn how to improve from other teams. And we often help other teams such as providing reporter yeast strain CT to SCU.

In 2021 China iGEM Online Meetup, we knew that OUC-China uses Escherichia coli as the base organism in their project to degrade antibiotics in water bodies. The same goal of dealing with new pollutants and the similar project background made us very happy. Feeling extremely lucky, we talked online in August and exchanged our ideas, concepts and difficulties we met. We found that we have a lot in common in project design and human practice. We shared some views on each other's projects and decided to keep in touch. And we invite our instructors Baojun Wang to listen to our project and provide suggestions for improvement. We have depth discussions with OUC about the project's HP development direction and the specific form of education. In addition, many workshop preparations have been carried out.

After that, we met other iGEM teams who hold the same goal of new pollutants detection or degradation including DUT-China, SJTU-Biox-Shanghai and NFLS-China. The same goal of dealing with new pollutants driving us to form an alliance. We formed the New Pollutants Alliance, held online meetings to share ideas, and jointly organized a workshop to optimize our projects. The workshop also played a role in disseminating science, which made the relatively unfamiliar concept of new pollutants no longer the elephant in the room, and can enter people's hearts and arouse their attention. We also created a Wiki together to record our results. To act together for the same goal, this is exactly where the meaning of iGEM lies.

NJTech-China contacted with us for encountering difficulties in acquisitioning pRS406 plasmid. After knowing that our laboratory kept this plasmid, we enthusiastically provided it to them.

SCU-China contacted with us for encountering difficulties in acquisitioning reporter yeast strain. After knowing that our laboratory kept reporter yeast strain CT, we enthusiastically provided it to them.
