Hello! I joined iGEM because it combines research and engineering with entrepreneurship, and I love the enthusiasm that everyone shows when working together to solve problems using biology. Besides iGEM, I am also involved with Science Olympiad @ Cornell and plant research. Outside of school, I enjoy bowling, walking around Beebe Lake, and raising chickens in my backyard.

I joined iGEM because it gives such a unique opportunity to collaborate with my peers and build a project from the ground up. I look forward to applying the skills I learn in any future research endeavors, and am so excited that this team has provided a platform that allows undergraduates to build confidence and independence in the bioengineering field. Outside of iGEM, I am a tour guide on campus and a member of the Cornell International Affairs Society. In my free time, I like painting, baking, and listening to podcasts.

I am affectionately known as "Mom" in iGEM as well as literally ever other social circle I have. I do crew on the club rowing team and have a tendency to procrasti-bake. I joined iGEM to get the opportunity as an undergraduate to create a tangible product using synthetic biology. I love how in iGEM, we pursue ideas regarding just about any real-world application the team can think of, so the possibilities are limitless.

Hey, I'm Lucas. I was the 2019-2020 Team Lead of iGEM and am currently a member of the Wet Lab subteam. iGEM means a lot to me, and I would say that the #1 thing that I've taken away from my experience on the team so far is how to be an effective leader. This includes proper communication, designing team agenda, and staying on top of responsibilities. Outside of Cornell iGEM, I perform research on campus and I like to exercise and play video games in my free time (especially Super Smash Bros).

I am currently a junior studying Biomedical Engineering. The iGEM team has been a great way for me to explore the practical applications of the genetics knowledge that I've gained through my coursework. Outside of iGEM, I am an undergraduate researcher in the lab of Dr. John Schimenti where I assist with projects related to cancer and fertility genetics. I love to spend my free time playing paintball, flag football, and bowling.

Hi my name is Daniel Morgan and I'm a Sophomore studying Biological Engineering. I joined iGEM because I wanted to build upon foundational lab skills that will allow me to one day use genetic material to make a positive impact on my community and society as a whole. Outside of iGEM, I enjoy improving my skills on the slope with the Alpine Ski Team and being a social chair of Pi Kappa Alpha.

Greetings, my name's Ishmat and I'm a part of wet lab. Something I really appreciate about iGEM is its interdisciplinary nature. Everyone on the team has the opportunity to work on various aspects of the project without being limited by which subteam they're on. Outside of classes & iGEM, I enjoy reading and finding the best burger places in town.
