Team Roles

Illustrations and Web Design

The following individuals are responsible for the graphics animations, and coding of the website.

  • Xander Weintraut (Web Developer): Responsible for the coding and styling of the Wiki website and worked on developing structure of web pages in 2020.
  • Hailey Szadowski: Helped re-format and update wiki pages for 2021 results and changes to project.
  • Madhu Prakash (Graphic designer): Developed all visual graphics for the Wiki and assisted in formatting and web page styling in 2020.
  • All Team Members: Helped write Wiki content.

Argonaute Biologics Team

The following individuals designed all biological components of the project for use in phase II.

  • Miles Thompson: Worked on developing the integrated code for RPA primer designs and molecular beacon design in 2020.
  • Hailey Szadowski (Team Leader): Utilized the molecular beacon outputs from the code and used Quickfold to analyze all of the outputs and identified the required parameters for the optimal beacon structure. Lead wet-lab work over Summer 2021, coordinated schedules for each member, helped debug protocols and interpret results, made updates to original Summer 2021 research plan, helped train new members, and completed wet lab protocols if necessary. Oversaw all biologics work in general.
  • Grace Lee (Team Leader): Worked with Madhu on developing the biological part constructs for phase 2. Trained new members and completed wet-lab protocols with help of Grace Cook and Victor.
  • Madhu Prakash (Team Leader): Worked with Grace on designing and ordering all necessary primers and biological parts for phase II of the project. Proposed Summer 2021 research plan.
  • Grace Cook: Performed wet-lab protocols.
  • Victor Pacheco: Performed wet-lab protocols.
