cOVID-19

COVID-19 is a viral disease that has spread at unprecedented rates globally since its discovery in November 2019. There are currently many different strains of the virus that are infecting humans. COVID-19’s infectiousness and potency have led to its classification as a global pandemic. Click on the graph to the right to see the real-time global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Argonaute

A

cArgo uses Argonaute endonucleases to accurately detect COVID-19 cDNA from patient saliva. The biologics of Argonaute make it a more reliable molecular diagnostic tool than current CRISPR systems.

About Argonaute...

Argonaute CRISPR
Target Flexibility Requiring No PAM (Protospacer Adjacent Motif)
Stable DNA Guides
Little to No Off Target Activity

Microfluidics

The biologics of our Argonaute based diagnostic system are implemented on a microscale to produce rapid results without compromising the reliability and accuracy of the test. This is done through our uniquely designed Microfluidic chip. Through the miniaturization of bioanalytics, we are able to minimize the cost of diagnostics while increasing experimental accuracy and decreasing experimental runtime.

Affordability

cArgo's long term goal is to deliver global safety to your doorstep. Through our continued research on environmentally friendly and affordable materials, we hope to manufacture our diagnostic chip and market it at a globally affordable rate. With this goal in mind cArgo is in the process of being redesigned for portable use anywhere in the world. With our unique heating circuit design and other on going research endeavors, we are working on developing a portable version of our diagnostic device.
