Our Team

We are Navarra BG team! The team comes from Navarra's Government educative program called Planet STEM, managed by Pamplona's Planetarium and fostered by NICDO, the Navarrese Governmental Organization for Innovation and Promotion of Industry, Culture, Sport and Leisure, whose objective is to encourage youngsters to choose and study scientific and technological degrees. We´ve been also mentored by scientists of the IdAB-CSIC.

Special thanks to the Government of Navarra for support Navarra_BG-Biogalaxy through Planet STEM educative program.

Special thanks to CSIC´s scientists for being our friendly teachers in the laboratory.

Special thanks to Planetarium of Pamplona for being an inspiring workplace.

Hey, I'm Alex Allwood, I'm 17 and I am currently completing my A-Levels abroad in the UK. In the next year, I will be applying to study natural sciences or medicine. Topics such as animals and outer space have always interested me, and at the same time, I have been thrilled to take part in adventure sports such as climbing or skiing. Projects like this bring these two very different worlds together. Allowing me to explore first-hand the scientific world and simultaneously, give back to others.

Hi! I'm Sergio Bonilla, I'm 18 years old and I've just started my degree in Industrial Engineering. Since I can remember I've been fascinated by science, technology, and nature, and this project has given me the opportunity to combine and enjoy those themes. Spending time with my friends and family is my favorite hobby. Also, I love listening to music, learning new things, and doing sports such as basketball, hiking, or swimming. Please, remember to listen and take care of the people you love.

Hi everyone! I am Ana Landíbar and I'm 16 years old. I usually spend my time listening to music and I love playing my favorite songs on my electric guitar. I have always liked the many different areas of science and this project has given me the opportunity to know what it is like to work not only in a laboratory but also in a team. I'm also fascinated by space, so this project greatly captivates me as we are working on spacial exploration and synthetic biology at the same time!

Hello, I'm Nerea Cemborain and I'm 17 years old, I'm in my senior year. Hopefully next year I'll start studying biotechnology in college, I've had this goal in my head for years. I have been even more years obsessed with science and experimentation, so being able to be a part of this project and come so close to what my ideal future might look like, has been an incredible opportunity. I have learned so much about many different things, confirming what I really like to do.

Hey! My name is Víctor López, I'm 16 years old and I just started the International Baccalaureate. I've always liked robotics and I've been in close touch with technology, that's why I'm looking to become an engineer. This year I experienced the joy of being a scientific disseminator and I discovered the amazing universe out of Earth, beyond space and stars. I am excited about this project because I want to do something important for this giant world and maybe travel to Mars in the near future.

Hello! My name is Andrea Urdánoz and I'm 16 years old. This year I will finish high school and I would like to start studying medicine. I'm so glad to be able to participate in this project because since I was a little girl I loved dipping into science, not just keeping up with simple things. What is more, skiing or playing paddle are some of my favorite sports, but what I really like to do in my free time is sharing time with my family and friends, or meeting new people to get to know new things.
