LATAM MeetUp
On August 28th, we participated in our first event, an international meetup, hosted by the team TecCEM, in which we had to present our project to other teams from iGEM. In order to be prepared, we spent several weeks doing our presentation and preparing our poster. Once a week, we showed how we were doing to our primary PI and instructors and they gave us essential tips which helped us to get everything done correctly, although we must say that sometimes it was hard for the team to keep up, as we were always making corrections.
At this meetup, several teams from Latin America, Spain, and Portugal had the opportunity to present their projects by Zoom. This was the first official presentation of our project, and everything went perfectly. Our teammates, Andrea and Leyre, made incredible work and showed how amazing aRADIAMARS is. Once the presentation finished, we all came out to answer the questions the judges had and we watched the other teams' presentations.

To end up the meetup, they gave us the chance of having private talks with other teams, so we could converse and learn from them in a closer way. Moreover, these talks were completely spontaneous, so the questions from other teams also helped us to prepare for the jamboree.
In conclusion, our first event truly showed us the global aspect of iGEM and this meetup cheered up the team, making us look for further horizons and get ready for the upcoming events.
