# Overview
During the part design process, we wanted to achieve the orthogonality of the Gal4-QPAS1, as LexA-dependent systems might be interrupted by the native E. coli reparation systems. For that purpose we have screened the specificity of Gal4-dependent promoters and proudly present our data in /Results and /Protocols.
