Went through 2019 and 2020 iBEC proposals. Both were pretty extensive and would require extensive prior research, we need more people on this task.
Given below is the format of the Proposal
Format:
- Aim
- Participants, PI + PI details
- Background/motivation + potential applications
- Methods, Materials - biobricks to be used
- Assays, experiments to be conducted
- Preliminary results
- Expected timeline
- Funds needed and its breakup
- References
Preliminary results - modelling work included for 2019 and for 2020(?)
Advice to all team members for JCs -
Be sure to include all details about:
- characterised parts available, pathways
- strains, plasmids, genes, promoters, reagents, protocols used
- assays, experiments done
- culture/growth conditions
