Collaborations
Sharing and collaboration are core values of iGEM and of the Edinburgh team. We were delighted to offer our 3D-printing facilities to print and test a design from the Gaston Day School for their “Cuboid" measuring equipment. This is designed to improve accessibility for those with motor and visual difficulties.
The Cuboid: a measuring tool to assist people with eye and motor control difficulties.
We also met with the Saint Joseph High school team (Turkey), whose "Cellulophile" project is closely related to the cellulase branch of our project. Unfortunately due to time constraints and delivery timescales we were unable to send them any cellulase samples from our lab to help in their experimental work, however we had a very productive discussion about each others projects.
