About us

We are a group of 8 interdisciplinary students aiming at developing a programmable cell factory for tunable fatty-acid production. Why fatty acids? Fatty acids are used in many industrial processes like food and medicine, but are currently extracted from eg. palm oil which causes ​deforestation.   With our project and diverse knowledge we work together towards a more sustainable production of fatty acids, and thus towards a more sustainable world.
